The Little Treasures Program was conceived
during a DUI Awareness Program called Every
15 Minutes. While filming a segment at the
County Coroner's Office for the program, it was
discovered that there were babies that were
abandoned and unclaimed awaiting cremation
by the County of Santa Clara. After asking
several questions and getting some answers, it
was decided to do something about the baby's
ultimate fate.
The procedure for adults and infants that
remain unclaimed is cremation via County
funds. We felt the babies deserved better than
this and the least we could do was to try and
give them a proper burial. With the permission
of the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office we
embarked on a mission.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
